Hi I am Julius Gomez and this is my speech about my goals for Freshman year and beyond. Some quick information about me is that I went to Balboa Middle school and currently I am part of the class of 2021 here at Foothill Tech. I am actually a nice guy but if I don't know you and you say hi to me I will probably not say anything back. Know onto my goals for Freshman year and beyond.
My academic goals are probably the same as most other people so I don’t blame you if you fall asleep. Ok so my goals for school is that in math I am going to keep the A that I always get. For English I want to get a A and I will work hard to get it but last year my grade did slip a little, but this year I am going to fix it. Biology is a class that I am not worried about the grade but more about me not falling asleep because the class is easy I am just not interested in the subject. Health I like and it seem like a cool subject to learn about so I am not worried about that class at all but it might get worse as my Freshman year goes on. Know for my favorite class ever Spanish. Spanish for me is a class is important because all of my grandparents only speak spanish so it would be nice to finally be able to communicate with them.
Julius's Goals For Freshman Year
My family goals are also probably similar to other people's. I would like to not fight with my sister again. We have been getting along better recently but I would like to never fight with her again. Me and my dad are fine but he has told me before that I don't talk to him as much as I used to so I am going to work on that with him. My mom and me are perfectly fine we talk we have fun together so I have no problems with her. Except she wants me to get together with friends more but that is for the next part of this speech.
Now onto my friends. I think that I have quite a few friends but to me my best friends would have to be Rusty, Chris, Aidan, and Brandon. My friendship with Rusty is complicated so I will save him for the end. Chris is a good friend to me, I can trust him with anything. So I would like to talk to him more, invite him to my house more, just hang out with him more. Know Aidan has been drifting away from me and my friends, and I would like to bring him back and invite him to the things that the rest of my friends are going to. Brandon is someone that hasn't been a friend for a long time but he is a very nice guy to be around, so I am going to introduce him to my other friends so we can have a bigger group of friends. Know like I said I am back to Rusty. My mom and Rusty's dad are dating so if it works out with them he culd eventually become my step-brother.
My sports goals is to make the golf team heer at Foothill tech. I would love to be on the varsity team but i’m not expecting it for freshman year. I have already completed one of my sports goals which was to make the cross country team. Know i’m onto my next which is to make varsity next year if I do cross country. I have been thinking about not doing it next year because it has been taking up way too much time and it is not a sport that was on the to of my list it was more of a backup.
So those were my goals for high school. They were pretty average but I am kind of a average person. Still the things I said are my goals and no one has the exact same ones. One thing I did not say is that I love school I like to learn, I like to be surprised about things that I didn't know before. Math is the subject that makes me want to go to school on some days because I might be having a bad morning.
